The performer hands out a school lunch size paper bag, and allows a spectator to examine it. He also hands out five jaw breaker sized stones for examination. The five stones consist of one dark grey stone, and four light colored stones. All are seen to be natural polished stones which, indeed, they are.

A spectator now drops all five stones into the paper bag so that the stones are well mixed. One to five spectators are now allowed to choose a stone from the paper bag, and hold them in a closed fist. They never know themselves, what color stone they have. The performer walks up to each specctator, and looks deeply into their eyes. He announces to one of them, that they are holding a white stone. This spectator is instructed to reveal her stone and, indeed, it is a light colored stone! The performer moves on to a different spectator, with similar results. He eventually is left with only two spectators, each holding a stone of unknown color.

After a few moments of deep concentration, the performer states to one of the two remaining, that he also has a light stone, and, turning to the last spectator, demands that he hold up the DARKSTONE for all to see!
